Community 39 Information
Community 39 Enterprises publishes 2 newspapers. The Breton Booster and Connect 39 (formerly the Thorsby Target & Warburg Bugle). Our office is located in Thorsby and papers are delivered weekly.
Our papers are printed in black and white but available to view in color online at www.community39.com. We also email a link to subscribers and put the links of each of our newspapers on our Facebook Page each week.
Our office will be closed and there will be no papers the week of August 7 – August 11, 2023 and the week of Dec 25 – 29, 2023.
Breton Booster Advertising
The Breton Booster is published weekly every Wednesday. Deadline is 10am the Monday before publication starting January 2023. In the event of a long weekend (STAT holiday Monday), deadlines are the Friday before publication at 3pm. The Booster has pick up locations in Breton, Warburg, Drayton Valley, Winfield and Alsike.
Our pricing and sizes are as follows:
- Full Page (7” x 9.25”) – $60 regular or $57 for *multi-ads (plus GST)
- ½ page (7” x 4.6” or 3.4167” x 9.25”) $40 regular or $38 for *multi-ads (plus GST)
- ¼ pg (3.4167” x 4.6”) $29 regular or $27 for *multi-ads (plus GST)
- ⅛ pg (3.4167” x 2.28”) $20 regular or $18 for *multi-ads (plus GST)
* Qualify for multi-advertising price by running your ad for three weeks or more in any paper or for non-profit groups.
- Classified Ads are $5 for 2 weeks
Connect 39 Advertising (formerly the Thorsby Target & Warburg Bugle)
Connect 39 is published weekly every Friday. Deadline is 10am the Wednesday before publication starting January 2023. Connect 39 has pick up locations in Thorsby, Leduc, Calmar, Sunnybrook, Pigeon Lake, Warburg & Alsike
Our pricing and sizes are as follows:
- Full Page (7” x 9.25”) – $90 regular or $85.50 for *multi-ads (plus GST)
- ½ page (7” x 4.6” or 3.4167” x 9.25”) $60 regular or $57 for *multi-ads (plus GST)
- ¼ pg (3.4167” x 4.6”) $43.50 regular or $40.50 for *multi-ads (plus GST)
- ⅛ pg (3.4167” x 2.28”) $30 regular or $27 for *multi-ads (plus GST)

- Classified Ads are $7.50 for 2 weeks
Community Events
Community events and information in our papers are free to non-profit groups and sponsored by Mikes Homes. If you have community events and advertise with us, we add them to our monthly Communities Calendar for FREE. This calendar is in each paper once per month, online at www.community39.com and on our Facebook page. If there is room (non-profit gets first priority) we will also put them in our free weekly “Upcoming Special Events and Programs” which is printed weekly.
Articles vs Ad
An approved article is FREE. Articles are just words and do not take a specific ad space or require design time. Pictures may be included and are encouraged. These are updates and thank you’s from local non-profit groups, news stories, information on local programs or programs affecting our community, history and more. Anyone can submit an article. Opinion pieces are “letters to the editor”. Ads are sized specifically for a space in the paper so if submitted like an ad, we will assume it is one.
Billing
For regular or approved customers, we bill at the end of each month. Tear sheets will only be provided to those who request them. Invoices will be emailed to the email address provided from either media@community39.com or community39newspaper@gmail.com. You may provide a credit card to put on file, pay by direct deposit, email transfer to info@cemedia.ca or cheque payable to CE Media and mailed to PO Box 899 Thorsby, AB T0C 2P0.
Other customers pay upfront by email transfer to info@cemedia.ca, credit card over the phone or pay in person at 4928 Hankin Street, Thorsby.
Artwork
We require a full color pdf or jpeg, sized to our specifications and emailed to media@community39.com before the deadline. We will provide basic design for most ads if required but design fees may apply to those submitting after the deadlines or if extra design time is required.
