Community 39 Information

Community 39 Enterprises publishes 2 newspapers. The Breton Booster and Connect 39 (formerly the Thorsby Target & Warburg Bugle). Our office is located in Thorsby at 4928 Hankin Street and papers are delivered weekly.

Our papers are printed in black and white but available to view in color online at www.community39.com. We also email a link to subscribers and put the links of each of our newspapers on our Facebook Page each week.

Breton Booster Advertising

The Breton Booster is published weekly every Wednesday. The Deadlines are: Friday at 10am before publication for ads that need to be designed and approved (Design fees will apply) and in the event of a long weekend (STAT holiday Monday) OR Monday at 10am before publication for articles and ready to print ads. 

The Booster has pick up locations in Breton, Thorsby, Warburg, Winfield and Alsike. 

Our pricing and sizes are as follows:

  • Full Page (7” x 9.25”) – $64.25 ($61.19 + GST)
  • ½ page (7” x 4.6” OR 3.4167” x 9.25”) $42.85 ($40.81 + GST)
  • ¼ pg (3.4167” x 4.6”) $31.05 ($29.57 + GST)
  • ⅛ pg (3.4167” x 2.28”) $21.40 ($20.38 + GST)

  • Classified Ads are $5 for 2 weeks (includes GST)

Connect 39 is published weekly every Friday. The Deadlines are: Tuesday at 10am before publication for ads that need to be designed and approved (Design fees will apply) OR Wednesday at 10am before publication for articles and ready to print ads. 

Connect 39 has pick up locations in Thorsby, Leduc, Calmar, Pigeon Lake, Warburg & Alsike

Our pricing and sizes are as follows:

  • Full Page (7” x 9.25”) – $96.40 ($91.81 + GST) 
  • ½ page (7” x 4.6” or 3.4167” x 9.25”) $64.25 (61.19 + GST)
  • ¼ pg (3.4167” x 4.6”) $46.60 ($44.38 + GST)
  • ⅛ pg (3.4167” x 2.28”) $32.15 ($30.62 + GST)

Community Events
Community events and information in our papers are free to non-profit groups and sponsored by Mikes Homes. Space is limited to a short description. The Programs and Events section is for ongoing programs and is only printed for free in one paper.

Articles vs Ad

An approved article is FREE. Articles are just words and do not take a specific ad space or require design time. They must be submitted so text can be copy/pasted. Pictures may be included and are encouraged. These are updates and thank you’s from local non-profit groups, news stories, information on local programs or programs affecting our community, history and more. Anyone can submit an article. Opinion pieces are “letters to the editor”. Ads are sized specifically for a space in the paper so if submitted like an ad, we will assume it is one. 

Billing

Customers must pay before the ad goes in the paper (some exceptions apply) Payment can be made by email transfer to info@cemedia.ca, credit card over the phone or pay in person at 4928 Hankin Street, Thorsby. Minimum $20 charge on over the phone credit card payments.

Tear sheets will only be provided to those who request them.

Invoices will be emailed to the email address provided from either media@community39.com or billing@cemedia.ca.

Customers may also provide a credit card to put on file or pay by direct deposit. For more information please contact us at billing@cemedia.ca.

Artwork

We require a full color pdf or jpeg, sized to our specifications and emailed to media@community39.com before the deadline.

Ads that are not ready for the paper and need to be designed or sized are charged a design fee starting at $20 plus GST.  Ads needing design must be submitted the day before the deadline to give us time to get proofs approved.
